What Makes The Perfect Blog Post? [Infographic]

While some bloggers might make it look easy, it’s not a secret that blogging is hard. It’s not only difficult to come up with fresh content on a regular basis, but even more difficult to ensure that this content adds value to a desired audience. Although there are some do’s, don’ts, and best practices when it comes to successful blogging, there is no real one-size-fits-all approach.

But the folks over at Blogpros are here to help. They foraged through 100 well-ranked blogs to find out what makes the perfect blog post?

You can check out the infographic below for yourself, but as usual, I always like to highlight some of the more interesting findings within the provided infographic. These include:

  • The average word count of blog posts is 1149 words
  • 92 percent of blogs articles include social buttons
  • Each article has an average of 3.2 images
  • Each article includes nearly 10 links!

What conclusions can one make from those statistics? Well, it seems that the perfect blog post is long, includes lots of images, links, and buttons to social networking platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest. If you want to start crafting those perfect blog posts, take these statistics to heart and start implementing these strategies in your own blog!
